The Color Problem Nobody in AI Video Production Is Talking About

Everyone's excited about AI video generation and I get it. But there's a problem nobody's really talking about and it's color.
Every AI model right now — Sora, Veo, Kling, Runway, all of them — outputs baked sRGB video at 8-bit. There's no raw footage. No LOG profile. No ability to go in and actually grade the thing properly.
In traditional production you shoot LOG specifically so you can color grade later. That's a huge part of what gives commercials that look. Without it you're just stuck with whatever the model decided the colors should be.
I've been digging into this for months. ComfyUI can get you 32-bit EXR for still images which gets you into linear color space. But for video nobody's figured it out yet. And I think whoever does — whoever gives directors real color control over AI video — opens up an entirely different tier of quality. Because right now part of the reason AI video all looks the same is that everyone's working with identical baked-in color. Solve that and the gap between AI and traditional shrinks to almost nothing.
